I tried to make a strawberry layer with the milk pudding (another version of this recipe) but it seems it needed more corn flour to be more jelly like so instead of having layers of red and white I ended up with a suspension in the red layer.
Ah back to the drawing board!

I thought this time I would do a little experimenting with the tart filling so I replaced it with vanilla pudding. My brother told me yesterday that I made a pudding/cheesecake/tart; the filling was pudding, the base is the one usually used in cheesecake recipes, and the overall look looked like a tart.

I made this by using the same recipe here but I flipped the layers, the orange on the bottom and the milk pudding on top and in between the layers I put a layer of ground almonds. I also used blood oranges that’s why the color of the orange layer is reddish.

This is a quick afternoon snack that is simple and very tasty. Just cut up some fresh strawberries, put a dollop a thick cream and then drizzle good quality honey on them.
